Complimentary Exam and Diagnostic Records

At your first visit we will perform a complimentary exam that will consist of diagnostic records, review of your medical history and an evaluation of your orthodontic needs. If Dr. Drake recommends treatment, your options will be discussed. Adequate time will be taken to answer all of your questions so that you can leave your initial exam with a clear understanding of your needs and the fees associated with treatment.

Before this visit, please download the appropriate new patient forms from our website. Present the completed forms at the front desk when you arrive for your appointment.

Diagnostic Workup

Before treatment is initiated, a diagnostic workup may be completed and used to develop a customized treatment plan that addresses your specific needs. A consultation appointment will then be scheduled to discuss your plan in detail.

Regular Appointments

The appointment when you receive your appliances (braces, retainers, expanders, etc.) typically takes 1 to 2 hours. You will then see us at regular 4 to 8 week intervals for adjustments, which take 20 to 40 minutes. Digital radiography, photography, and enhanced computer graphics make it easy for you to view your progress. Your scheduled appointment time has been reserved specifically for you. We request 24-hours notice if you need to cancel your appointment.
